Evidence & methods

The declarations define what is required. Product inventories show what exists. Neither a complete calculation nor an intact file establishes ship attribution.

Scientific conventions

Places and instruments
HA01 is a station; H01W is a hydrophone array; H01W1 is a hydrophone. “Triplet” refers specifically to three hydrophones.
Source and receiver levels
Spectral SL: dB re 1 µPa² m² / Hz. Band SL: dB re 1 µPa m. Spectral RL/SPL: dB re 1 µPa² / Hz. Band RL/SPL: dB re 1 µPa. Unrelated vessels are summed in linear power.
Source model
JOMOPANS-ECHO uses ship class, speed and length, with approximately ±6 dB model scatter. Predictions below 20 Hz have higher uncertainty. Model details
Propagation
Fast TL is a range-only screen. Exact RAM and reusable RAM sweeps remain separate products with their own receiver geometry, source depth and environment. The Juan one-to-one branch uses 6 m source depth and the H01W virtual mean receiver; admitted 70% draught estimates are sensitivity results.
Observation
Full frequency-dependent response conversion requires the recorded 10 Hz agreement check. Measured SPL is the whole soundscape. Missing or invalid samples are gaps, not zeros.
Timing
Times are UTC. Arrival markers include source-to-receiver travel time. Juan arrival windows pad each estimated arrival by three hours and merge overlapping windows; a marker is not a detection.

AMSA 63/80 Hz fast TL screen

88,565 of 150,940 records with predicted RL at both frequencies (58.7%) · materialized

The screen uses records with a mapped vessel class, a positive speed no greater than 50 knots, and a positive length. It does not clip or fill missing values.

Complete AIS source spectra

102,629 spectra; 1,128,919 standard-centre values · materialized

All 102,629 AIS records are represented through reusable source-input profiles, with dense 10–100 Hz values for interactive display. RAM is an additional propagation treatment, not an admission rule for the source model.

data/derived/modeled-ais-source-level-browser/v1/summary.json

All AIS records through fast TL

102,629 records × 96 directly evaluated spectral samples · materialized

The explorer shows SL and predicted RL from one vessel at every integer frequency from 5 through 100 Hz for all 102,629 AIS records: 88,565 non-RAM AIS records and 14,064 RAM AIS records. The canonical materialization also preserves 14 standard-centre band values outside the served three-tab browser. The 62,376 excluded raw AIS records remain accounted for by source-input or quality-control reason. Values below 20 Hz are marked as higher-uncertainty source-model extensions.
